About Association

Notaries’ Association of Kharkiv Region, an independent non-governmental organization, was founded in 1993.

At present the “Association” unites 57 notaries private and all public notary offices in Kharkiv and Kharkiv region. Currently it has 167 members.

The “Association” members have chosen an active life position – jointly and consecutively standing up for and protecting their professional interests, and encouraging the development of civil society in Ukraine.

What has already been done:

-        the “Association” members took active part in the development of the new Law of Ukraine “On notary activity”;

-        October – November 1998 – participation in the program “Public relations” for non-governmental and non-profitable organizations founded by the “Twin-City Committee”, Cincinnati – Kharkiv and US Information Agency (study of the experience of non-profitable organizations in Cincinnati, USA);

-        target educational program “The formation of notary practice starting on the 1^st of January 2004 according to new Civil, Economic and Economic Codes of Ukraine” has been implemented;

-        12^th of March 2003  – seminar “Juridical persons according to the Civil and Economic Codes of Ukraine”;

-        29^th of November 2003 - seminar “Income of a notary and its taxation in 2004”, “Deals, their types, procedure and conditions of their completion, reasons and consequences of their declaration invalid”;

-        23rd -24th of January 2004 – Pan-Ukrainian seminar with the participation of People’s Deputy of Ukraine, professor of law Victor Lavrentiyovych Musiyaka, Deputy Minister and other members of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine as well as leading specialists in the sphere of law;

-        celebration of the Day of Lawyer and rewarding of notaries who had worked in the profession more than 30 years;

-        participation in charity events, support of public organizations whose aim is social defense;

-        cooperation and a range of publications in magazines: “Bulletin of juridical and notary practice”, “Notar” etc.;

-        participation in radio programs with the aim of law propaganda.
